Children’s Program Overview

Story Time

Children ages birth through early elementary will discover the wonders of the garden through the Linnaeus Gardener’s interactive reading of theme based books. An activity in the Linnaeus Garden will follow the reading.

Little Green Thumbs

Register your children ages 6-12 in Little Green Thumbs for a hands-on, in-depth learning experience to introduce them to the world of gardening, held in the Linnaeus Teaching Garden during the months of June and July.

Kid’s Corner

Come inside the Linnaeus Garden Visitors’ Barn and you will discover various garden activities to share with children.

Children’s Tours

Linnaeus Garden Volunteers love to show off our garden. We are available to give tours to classes from public and private schools, homeschool groups, scouts, and other children’s groups. Please refer to the drop-down menu across the top of the home pages for a tab titled Visit for more details about children’s Tour.

Grandparents’ Day

Grandparents’ Day is a wonderful time for seniors to spend a special day with their grandchildren, pass along their knowledge of gardening, and share their love of the outdoors.
